Softly she groomed him from the rain and the dirt he’d picked up, sighing gracefully as she made sure she was as physically close to Sobek as she could be. “They say rain is a sign of change.” She suggested softly, moving away slightly so she could look at him. Dahlia looked up, craning her head backwards to see up to his face. “Do you think that’s true?”

'Rain is a sign of change,' , she said, and he pondered over it. It was true that the lands would become greener and flourish, flowers would blossom and trees would grow taller, after rain season. Especially when there was drought right before it - that was when the change became even more noticeable. As Sobek returned to resting his head upon hers, feeling his throat vibrating as she leaned against it, he came to realize. That this had been the rain both dry lands that were themselves had been craving, to finally be able to grow again. Under each other's shade, they would hopefully grow stronger than they were before the drought, despite the crooks and the cracks. Tilting his head so that he could rub his cheek into her forehead, he placed a lick across her temple, nuzzling rather affectionately into it.

"I do."

This was the biggest plot twist I've ever seen. That RP was pure feels.
