Animals are really different from us, aren't they? In normal society, if you have a child to someone who others don't want you too, they don't kill you, they simply turn you away. But if you were to do that to someone of ROYAL stature, you COULD be killed by family members of that royal who DEEPLY despise you. Hmmm, maybe we aren't so different after all, and I would pay you 100 dollars to draw the lion who killed her mother thrown off a cliff and into a bush of DEADLY spikes. You don't do that to a newborn baby's mother. That was probably the only person she had left.
