Rahim was last to be born in a litter of four, belonging to the King of Mwanzo pride, Kato, and his Queen Bashiri. He was born mute and his parents only realized it when they noticed he was the only one who, as a newborn, did not cry, although he attempted to. As a pride that has gone through a lot and has a rather dark past, his siblings and him represent the generation who are meant to change many stigmas and grow to be stronger and wiser than their relatives were in the past.
