Okay I know I have gone in to reading in all different directions...

1. I started out with 10% shadow... basically I used a brush at 10% opacity (sp? it's been 20 hours of awake time for me.....) and since this was my core of the shadow.. well core is the wrong term... this is the base of my shadow. but it's way to light.

2. So to solve the problem I duplicated the 10% opacity layer.. 2 times not counting the first layer... so 2 copies plus the original means X3 so about 30% opacity

3. Now for some deeper shadows to create even more depth. And if I forgot any shadows when I was creating the first original set then this is when I add them.

4. Using my original colors I use the color selector and go in a diagonal motion towards white till I get the right hue, color, ect... to match the original color but lighter... Please notice I didn't use white to just color over the color layer... that may have worked but this would have made my highlights a bit more dead... they wouldn't have had depth of color to play with.

So I took an hour after dinner and decided to finish the Azula Process #4 up for tonight. (Crap it's only 8 pm my time but I am beat.. I've been up for way to long...) But I hope you enjoy this ... I am lazy so I don't go in and blur, smudge or do any of that. I kind of like the crisp layering you get with a "cell" type coloring... if I wanted smooth I guess I could go and make Azula in a painting? And please excuse any miss-spellings... I am horribly tired but I had to get the 4th step done tonight.
