Description
I started this back in early December of last year and was close to scrapping it at least 10 times. I'm glad I didn't because it didn't turn out to be too bad in the end and it was fun to do. I wasn't necessarily worried about the end product so much as I was worried about just making something entertaining to look at and work on. It was pretty good practice and helped me get loose again, and it was also a nice break away from the other stuff I'm working on.The inspiration for this came from an older work of mine called The Chase which I think I did back in 2009. I wanted to create something of a similar feeling but with a lot more speed and motion. I know I always say this, but I want my stuff to look like it was taken directly from a still of a movie, hopefully that sense of movement is present here. If not let me know, it'll only help. And I hope this version is better than the 09 version, that means I might actually be learning something.
Thanks for having a look, more stuff when it's done.
No promises.

Yeah, it definitely looks like a still from a movie. I would have gone with just a touch less blur maybe, but I'm not complaining. Excellent work.

I love the motion! My eyes travel from the asteroids on the left and then Wam! You're getting sucked into the image with that blur. I think you did a great job.

Good o'l radial blur - one of the few filters that can be used on digital art without making t look cheap Nice work, It does have the feeling of a movie (or at least video game cutscene) still. Very natural looking lighting and colours too

Thanks a lot man. Yeah, radial blur is good at times, it's very easy to overdo it though and get carried away.

Nice one Kai, you really feel the speed with your directional blurring! The image is bright but not too much. Looks like you copied some of your asteroids pretty much but man I don't care, the effect is cool. Too bad you didn't submit it to the exhibit mate! Don't be sorry the forum, the crates and support are a lot of work!

Thanks man. As far as the asteroids go, they're all pretty much unique, I did them all in 3dsmax so I made sure of that (the best I could anyway). I did copy a few of the real small ones just to add more depth to the scene, so that may be what your seeing. But yeah, wish I could of had this in the exhibit, but it's all good.

Yeah mate, it was just to have a little crit to say, lol! I know now how to make the asteroids in 3Dsmax I just dont know how to texturize and export them into PS. Need some practise...
The scene is really awesome dude, I feel so happy being with the Lum.

It definitely has the feeling of motion mate! Nice work!
I think the brightness could be lowered just slightly (or the contrast turned up just a touch!)
