Description
Ship docking at an outpost stationed nearby a desolate planet.---------------
It's been too long since I last uploaded something. I had a bit more planned for this, but not enough time. I learned a lot on this project and I hope to learn nearly as much on the next. Hope you all enjoy.
Hit download for actual size and delicious cake. Print will be available if people want it.
DD: Wow, I think this is the fastest I've ever received a daily dev before. Huge thanks goes out to *qaz2008 and ^Voyager212 for suggesting and featuring this piece! I appreciate all the comments too, thank you!

It looks like the Satellite 5 in Doctor Who season 1 (2005) !

I love the color...the contrast between the lighted planet and the deep darkness of the shadows give a feel of coldness and desolation...that loneliness implied by the title "Outpost". This is definitely one of the more evocative Sci-Fi scenes on DA, in my humble opinion.

Does 3ds max require programing? I have heard that it's really complicated.

No you don't need to do any programming to create a scene in 3ds max, there are maxscripts, but that's for other stuff and isn't necessary. At first it will seem almost impossible, but keep at it and read up on some tutorials and view some videos of poeple making stuff with it and you'll pick it up.
