Personality: Outgoing, brave, protective, easily distracted, impatient, show off

Bio: Marcellus is a brave young apprentice from EBC's Lightning Empire. He is outgoing, cheerful, and is friends with almost everyone. He is extremely loyal to his Empire and will do almost anything to protect those he cares about. However, Marcellus possess a short attention span and tends to be easily distracted. He can also be a bit of a show off around his friends.

Marcellus is best known for his stealth and fights best when in thick tree cover or tall grasses. He's also skilled at climbing trees, which makes him an excellent hunter of birds and squirrels. As an apprentice, Marcellus lacks the strength and speed that Libra had, but as he grows older he will develop skills similar to those of his father.

Background: Like a majority of the Empire cats, Marcellus was breed to be a coliseum fighter. Both his father and mother were owned by a wealthy breeder who prided himself on being able to breed the "toughest wild cats ever to
step a paw into the fighting ring". It was no doubt that, if things would have played out like intended, Marcellus would have lived and died a violent life like so many before him. Thankfully, that wasn't the case.

When Marcellus was barely old enough to walk, his father, Libra, hatched a plan to give the little caracal cub a better chance at life than what he was destined for in the coliseums. Late one night, Libra snatched up Marcellus and, thanks to a faulty lock on the cage door, father and son were able to slip out into the darkness. However, their escape didn't go unnoticed. Soon, the owner along with several dogs were chasing after the prized fighter and his cub.

Libra desperately tried his best to outrun the dogs, but he knew they would eventually catch up, especially since the male caracal had a cub to carry. That was when Libra made the decision to hide young Marcellus in a small gap between two large rocks until they both were safe.

"Stay here until I come back for you, do you understand?" Libra instructed, "It's very important that you do not move. I'll come back for you when everything is safe, I promise." A bark in the distance told the caracal the dogs were gaining and he had to move. Pushing a small pile of leaves up to the gap, Libra ran, leaving his cub behind to fend for himself until he could return.

Marcellus waited and waited but his father never returned. Eventually hunger made the cub leave his hiding spot where he was found by a small group of Lightning Empire gladiators.

Random Facts:

- Marcellus' father, Libra, was a melanistic caracal who was also a very fierce fighter.

- Marcellus has no concept of danger and is very brave for a feline his age. He will do anything and everything, no matter how dangerous the situation may be. This trait is most likely inherited from Libra.
