Updated reference for Valon! Because of course he'd be the first of my OC line up to actually get his done.He's not a character that's connected with EBC anymore, the roleplay group he was basically designed to fit in, so I'm not sure how much of his old background and character development will actually stay with him, but he's a character I definitely plan on keeping around for awhile. He'll probably still keep his ties to the Roman coliseums as an entertainment fighter just as a way to explain his scars and some of the personality quirks he developed though, along with a lot of his early EBC canon just because I can't see myself rewriting any of that out of him?? All of that's a pretty big part of his character tbh, so for now, a lot of his info on his old reference still stands.
But his design changes aren't too drastic from his last ref either. It's basically the same aside from an added nose color fade and the only piece of 'armor' from his EBC days that actually applies to him now is his signature scarf.

Haha yeah, I sort of drifted away from my art to focus on some other things, but I forgot how much I actually liked drawing that I had to come back! I actually don't draw as many animals as what I used to either though, so it's been fun to go back to drawing them for awhile. I guess xD
But here's to us both being in the 'we don't post as often as we used to but we're still here!' club

We didn't, but then again back in my EBC days, there was a ton of stuff I didn't have the chance to explore as much as I wanted to either. But I've got the chance to now!
I'm definitely down with Vayea still being his right-paw caracal though, especially since Valon still trusts her tons even outside EBC. He can definitely still take all the friends he can get, plus she gets bonus points for still offering to be his cub sitter too lmaoΒ

I remember I up and gave Nero away to someone just so he could stay in the group whenever I left EBC. Idk what ever happened to him or what you ever did with Vulcan, buuuut I might redesign another cub for these two if that's cool with you, too?? I dunno how that'd fit in with an 'outside EBC' story line when I keep tying Valon back to a lot of his EBC roots but it's tempting lol

Nero is owned by Svantanon still and we have the two brothers kind of around. Vulcan still exists too! I just havenβt drawn him much recently. However, Iβm very okay with you making more kiddos for them :3

Cute! But legs look short for a serval. The ones that we have at work look like their legs are WAY too long for their bodies. Weird proportions but true. Either way this is great!Β

Serval legs have always been something that'd given me problems? I adore them, but I keep defaulting back to what looks proportionally right for most of my other characters and forget they're basically living spring boards.

LOL yeah I totally understand. I think this is an awesome drawing though. We have one serval that is a bit overweight and the best way to describe what he looks like is one of those cocktail weenies with 4 toothpicks. Hahaha. And the ears are sooooo big (and cute!) I love servals but man do they look more like spare parts then an actual animal.Β
