Connections:Both are parasitic alien invaders from Nintendo games.
Both have a connection to meteors (Deoxys came to Earth from a meteor, Dark Samus sends meteors to planets in order to infect said planets with phazon).
Both have a connection to DNA (Deoxys' name and design are based on DNA, Dark Samus was born when Metroid Prime absorbed Samus' DNA).
Both originate from an infectious space substance (Deoxys was created in part by a space virus, Dark Samus is a being of phazon). This substance experienced significant mutations (Deoxys was born when a space virus was hit by a laser beam and mutated. Dark Samus was the already heavily mutated Metroid Prime, further mutated when it merged with Samus' Phazon Suit and Samus' DNA within the suit.)
Both are mortal enemies with someone (Rayquaza and Samus Aran).
They have similar abilities: laser beams, shapeshifting, clones, regeneration, electricity, poison, etc.
Honestly this is way better than Cell vs. Dark Samus, which I used to like before this mu came along. That was cool for being a unique series combo mu, and bc Cell doesn't have much else that's good. Now I just see Cell as a good alt for Dark Samus.
Idk where people get the idea that Deoxys can't be infected with phazon for being "inorganic". Even though its core just appearing to be inorganic isn't proof, it used to be an organic virus, etc. And even if it were true, phazon can infect inorganic beings (ie the rock monster boss from Metroid Prime).
