Self-evaluation:
Boy, this one was a doozy. I remember stressing the computer with all the fine details. I had to separate my work into two files to produce just one picture, which is why the original is now a bonus material.

Nope. No 3-D rendering here. Never tried Maya (it's not free), but Google Sketchup's got a very steep learning curve. And I need a very powerful PC (of which I don't really have) to render detailed models.
Oh, yeah, thanks. I'm just beginning to learn how to paint like how the s.f. artists do. So, in a sense, this is practice. If you see my favorites section, a really significant portion goes to science fiction alone.
