There was a faint applause as the keepers led the effeminate newly-sold slave off the stage and into the holding pens while they received payment from his new master. The auctioneer flipped to the next paper in his pile, scanned the contents, and then motioned to the keepers. "The next item up for bid is a new treat fresh from the forest," he said with a grin. "Quite a pretty one if I do say so myself."

The sound of claws and boots dragging across the stone floor arose from the curtain blocking the pens. Two men pulling on a leash slowly struggled out from behind the curtain, pulling with all their might against whatever was on the other end of the leash. With one mighty heave, they pulled a dark, scruffy figure on all fours onto the stage. The young male figure immediately lunged at the two men, swiping his clawed hands at their legs, snarling.

"...He's a bit feisty," the auctioneer added nervously, "but he's still wild, so he will need to be broken. How you handle that is up to you."

One of the keepers cried out as the boy bit his foot and angrily kicked him off with his other foot. The youth gave a yelp akin to that a dog made when it was struck and scurried away, curling into a defensive position with a growl, his black hair bristling.

"He's what we like to call a 'half-wolf', for obvious reasons. They are resilient and loyal, making them good for any master. They are tough and can take a beating, but once you gain their submission, by whatever means suit you, they are loyal and trusting. And don't be fooled by his growling--he can speak, but it'll take a bit of work to loosen his tongue," he finished with a grin. "Shall we begin the bidding?"

Shin is a half-wolf, living like a stray in the city, foraging through garbage for food. When he was a pup, a young girl started feeding him table scraps, slowly gaining the boy's trust. She taught him english and other human mannerisms. However, eventually the girl's family moved, and Shin returned to fending for himself, and was eventually captured and put into the slave trade.
