Heheheh, that would be something I would imagine too! I'm smelling a second gem war for Earth... And I think the corrupted gems will serve as Steven's army! I know the gems are still corrupted, but the gems will heal them, because they always find a way!!! Now, my thoughts about the Cluster: when I discovered what Garnet said what the Cluster was, It painted a scary, horrific image in my head... Gems act as a whole body, if you take apart that body and mash it up with other body parts... *shivers* Its like some horrific lab disaster gone wrong... but it was intended!!!

Considering what Jasper said about being in the "first" war for earth in The Return there might have already been a second war.

OH YEAH!!! You're right! The rebellion... right? Pearl and Garnet mention a "rebellion," so maybe that was the second war...? Regardless, I think there could be a war BIGGER than the others due to Homeworld being advanced. We'll just see if the show explains any of the wars...

I think these are the lifeless husks of the gems that were either destroyed by the gemworld gems during that war, were considered obsolete or overcooked in the kindergarten,
or all of the above.

MiloChibangy In reply to trilliondollerman [2015-07-19 12:27:39 +0000 UTC]

Like Garnet said, they were Crystal Gems shattered to pieces. But the obsolete/overcooked gems could be a possibility of being victims of being apart of other clusters if there happens to be more.

Indeed

"Fusion is a choice. These Gems weren't given a choice. It isn't right, it isn't fusion."

You're right, Garnet, it ain't fusion, it's something much more sinister, even other villains would consider it appalling.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

dadab22 [2015-06-23 16:59:14 +0000 UTC]

My theory on what homeworld was trying to do was not create fusions, as homeworld already knows how to do that. This experiment was to take broken gems shards and combine them. Why? To bring back the dead. This is an attempt to resurrect gems that fell in the war. However, the homeworld cannot find all the shards of an individual gem, so they have to make due with shards of multiple gems. But, should they find all the shards of a single gem, they would be able to bring it back. Maybe Peridot's mission is to resurrect a fallen homeworld gem commander.

StarDiamondHeart In reply to dadab22 [2015-08-11 03:33:35 +0000 UTC]

What if the homeworld thinks this is a new way to make stronger gems? Think about it, Jasper said that fusion was a tactic to make weaker gems stronger in her mind. Well what if the homeworld leaders decided to take random gems and permanently fuse them together to make stronger warriors. It's already been implied they have more then one of the same gem so then they have like different fusion combinations. This also to them seems to be a way to make new gems other then the kindergartens since fusions take on their own personality and implied to only be created by fusing.

InsoLENTinsO In reply to dadab22 [2015-07-11 01:26:09 +0000 UTC]

I don't think they are reviving just the one gem. I think it's more of recycling. Think about it. They need to destroy planets using Kindergartens in order to multiply. Planets with lifeforce are a finite resource. Therefore recycling shattered gems through clustering(?) is a logical choice. Β
