Overlay, OVERLAY. I tried this and thought I was supposed to set the high-contrast color to MULTIPLY and damn, that didn't work.

Its called "Visualizing Thru Darkness" Its easier to draw dark to light. You see things differently, and you get more idea's.

I should be cheating too. I didn't know you added the shadows first, but I think I start with a background colour and add highlights to it...sometimes.

Are there any benefits to having the *highlight* on a separate layer as opposed to the shading? Just asking because most people do it the other way round.
