Description
Been racking my hands for nearly a week to finish this pic. Finally got a chance to show my lurve for the Norland Calgara arc during Skypiea which is still my absolute favorite OP story. The Lvneel Kingdom's architecture is really spiffy! But a bitch to draw >_<
Full view for the detailness.

You have done a bang-up job, I must say.
I certainly think it's not fair that Montblanc Norland's family has been taunted and persecuted as "liars" for 400 years because of Norland and Shandia.Β I certainly hope the makers of One Piece don't plan to leave things like that.

If Noland had returned to Shandora, his king would have had everyone slaughtered just to get the gold.

I wish this did happen!
That whole story arc reminded me of Pocahontas. (I'm sure I'm not the only one. )
It was a good arc.

Scratch the "I wish this did happen" part. I just finished the flashback and learned that this is supposed to be their deaths, not Calgara trying to save Noland.

I adore this.
It's my second favorite flashback, and only because I have a deep personal investment in the Tom's Workers one... ahem...
But it's probably the saddest story in all of One Piece.

I love this
This is so great, I havenΓ€t never seen anything like that. You draw exactly like Eiichiro Oda. Calgara looks himself, Norland too. I love you style and this picture is awesome.

The life we lead will often link with the lives of others, forever knitting every man woman and child in a chain of destiny that stretches over the horizon that is the future. Every new generation is the chains new link, as such one link cannot exist without the one before it, and the shape of the link shall be forever forged by the one before it.
Once again Oda proved to be a great inspriration to my writing and my cartooning... especially with this part of the Skypeia arc. you repeatedly and excellently capture the mood of his characters and stories, many kudos tossed your way.
and I think were both grateful that 4kids will not be allowed to touch skypeia further than the dubbing of the games. as long as Toei TV keeps being mad at them.

This account is used by all editors on official Grand Line Vine business, but I would like to leave off here and say a few words as justira , the Editor in Chief.
Oh god am I glad this got recced, and if Tro hadn't gotten to it, I would have. The Kalgara and Norland story ties for my favourite thing about One Piece, ever. The other contender is Water Seven, and knowing how much I adore Water Seven...! Regardless, their story just makes me BAWL, and this pic just captures the essence of that so beautifully! It just conveys so much raw emotion. I love it. I'm also very impressed with it technically, with the amount of detail and the wonderful composition. I love the transition between their two worlds, especially. Overall, one of my favourite pieces of One Piece fan art!

Awesome, just awesome. It's amazing how much detail you put into your art, especially the expressions and the backgrounds.
Plus that was one of my favorite flashbacks. So sad...

I've always loved these two, and up until we hit Water Seven, that story was my very favourite thing in OP. Ever.
That said, I really love this - it's one of my favourites in your gallery, and I like the vast majority of your stuff too much to pick many favourites ^_^
As always, amazing inking technique, and ridiculous amount of detail here. Excellent, excellent job *faves like mad and saves to hard drive to boot*

Hey, would you kill me if I gave colouring this a go? I sorely need the practice, and until I go and buy myself a new scanner that's actually meant to scan art, I'm not going to be able to upload decent lineart of my own -_-;;

Ha! I FIANLLY remembered to comment on this drawing. Bad me! I've really really liked it since I first saw it yonks ago. The composition, the detail, the emotion and body language of each of the figures, and I think my favorite part is how soft the lettering is in the corner. Very evocative and amazingly well-rendered. The funny part is, I haven't even read this part of the story yet and this picture moved me. Good job.

I loved the Noland and Kargara story. It was also one of my favourite One Piece storylines the ending was so sad though
Poor Noland...I so hoped that they would see each other once again.
Oh well. This is a really great picture and the details are just stunning! I bet this took a long long time to draw!
