For a while the Stranger tried taking on the form of magnesite crystals and a similar mineral, dolomite. But try as we might, we couldn't get the crystals to do the reference justice. Ah well, maybe he just got up on the wrong foot that day. It happens to the best of us.

So I suggested an alternative form of magnesite, the opaque variant that is commonly sold as tumbled stones and often wrongly labeled as "Howlite". The Stranger was a bit disappointed, but he accepted.

Done in Blender and rendered with the Cycles engine.
