Here is a little project of mine that I've been working on slowly. I'll provide some more shots of close ups as they become a little more detailed.Note: In the top right of the picture there is a mining freighter making a banking turn around the station. This is the unnamed YX-103. Once finished it will receive its own entry.

Nice, interesting docking system. I always liked the stations where the ships were outside.

Seems practical not to have them land in huge docking bays, though I guess it would be easier to repair in atmospheric conditions.
