Very simple and quick tutorial how I do dapples with Sai. Nothing very deep or thoughtful, no special effects (if layer effects don't count) and this can really be applied to any art program where you can use layers and opacity

The dapples look even better if you go the extra mile and give them more defined shape, like more edged and less uniform.
