Description I swear, this is the last time I redesign this character

Here are my previous versions:

Similar to the Superman redesign I done, this was a redeisgn of Batman...again. Nolan's Batman started becoming more of an influence as well as Arkham Asylum so the armour look started increasing the the design work.
I'm still of that mind were I think the mouth piece should be remove. Not neccessarily the mouth itself though. I do think when Batman looks pissed it adds a certain intensity that you could never replicate in say Spider-Man whose mask covers his full face.

I've entered this into a competition over at Superhero of the Month [link] (I'm in Part 8). They were kind enough to still let me enter even though I didn't manage to get it in on the deadline date.

yes!! I love how you carefully thought of everything! and I especially how you make him use fear gas!! that's a good point! this, and the hidden mouth!
for me, the bat-suit is designed for commando actions, fast and frightenning, and you designed a pretty good one!

Thanks buddy. I think the Dark Knight movies got as close to my idea of what Batman should look like than what is ever going to happen so my design was always "how do I perfect THAT suit?"
To this day I have an issue with any of the Bat-Family wearing boots (don't get me started on heels). Predominantly there's a lot of running, jumping, flipping, etc. I feel high-end trainers/sneaker-like shoes would be better for that and would weigh less.

I couldn't agree more!! those items (heels, but boots as well, in a lesser mesure) are totally irrelevant!
You did perfected it quite well! you made it very efficient and convincing!

I like how you made him look stealthy yet armored at the same time. Esp the boots and chest. Tv shows make him look not armored at all, movies sometimes add too much armor. Good balance.

Yeah. It's a fine line to tread with Batman. He needs armour, that's a given. But it needs to be lightweight enough for him to be able to do flips if need me. And lighter still for Nightwing. I don't think any of the Bat Family would wear boots, I think they'd be more like trainers. Ask yourself, do you run faster in trainers or boots? It's just little things like that.

Looks like a blend of the Nolan'verse Bat-Suit and the one from Batman Beyond. Nice!

I noticed Smallville Batman has a similar thing going were you can see his face but it's not skim colour. If the belt didn't look so terrible I'd really like that design.

Remember that scene with Scarecrow in the first Nolan-Batman movie, where Crane imagines Batman as some sort of black faced demonic man-thing with some sort of liquid slowly oozing from its face?

Definitely. That's exactly it. Unfortunately the tech just doesn't exist for him to have that in my mind but that's exactly what I would want.
Something always puzzled me as to why Batman doesn't use Scarecrow gas but in small, non-lethal amounts as a weapon in his arsenal to fuel the whole mythos of the Batman?

They wasted a perfectly good opportunity with the fear gas in Begins. Just imagine every criminal seeing him in a different, horrifying way. It would completely explain why there's so many differing accounts of what he can do, and how human he is. And yeah, lacing some of his smoke bombs with a lighter dose of fear gas WOULD make sense... But writers love explaining-away why he's not infinitely more high-tech / efficient. He'll whip-out a freezarang or hologram every now and then, but any more than that and he's seen as 'villainous' for some reason.

I love the idea if him using it but maybe not overusing it. It kind of demeans all the training he went through to become Batman.
But I agree, there's no harm in making it a little easier.

That's a key thing for me with Batman. That's why I wanted the mouthpiece removed because it helps that ideal and the whole creature of the night.

And I'm pretty darn sure that a full face mask would make him a whole lot scarier.

While I really do love this redesign, I personally like the regular mask without the fabric covering the mouth.

When you see Batman's eyes and mouth, you see his anger as he struggles to overcome. We can see the sorrow in his gaze as he thinks over his past. You understand? When we see a man there we pay attention to his words. We need this to relate. I would feel akward talking to Spider-man, you see? Plus, if you do any physical activity you understand how its important to breathe clearly. One good example to support both out Ideas is what the man who called himself Phoenix Jones did when he patroled the nights. ;J Its clever. Look him up.

BLOODY HELL !!! Finally... near perfect design... in my opinion ofcourse. I wonder how it'd look without the lips n a silver Bat symbol than the silver.

I think yellow is a key colour for Batman. I took it away from the utility belt for the dimple reason of allowing the belt to blend into the suit so it was less obvious. But I still wanted it somewhere and I kind of dug the idea of Batman walking towards a villain in the dark and all they could see was this silhouette and a glowing yellow bat coming towards them.
