This is a contest submission piece featuring character(s) from Darthmanga's Demon Hunter manga.

This is a submission for bullet point number 1, 2, 4 & 5 of the contest criteria.

This is my magnum opus. The file size is 24mb+.

As per the title, this piece features angels and demons, and the whole cast of characters from Demon Hunter. I have only included a handful of angels/demons/monsters as I ran out of time. Here are only female Demons (before and after the fall), female Angel and female Seraphim. Maybe I will create the male counterparts at a later date or in the next contest.

I undertook this piece as a daily challenge for myself to draw one DH character per day. I was inspired by Darthmanga's passion for his creations - especially his love for his characters. It's a very worthy project and a goal I hope he sees to the end. I am certainly rooting for him.

This contest has helped me improve my skill and style a lot. The difficulty was creating characters that were recognisable to the creator and audience who have read Demon Hunter. It needed to be a faithful adaptation. I wanted nothing in the art to be out of context. I didn't want to upload a random submission that was ambiguous. I created this piece specifically for Demon Hunters and as fan of Darthmanga's work.

Here, you will find the whole cast in clothing recognisable from within the panels of the DH manga.

I have also created Demons, Angels and a Giant.

For the Giant, I wanted to keep them biblical. This was inspired by early images of Goliath towering over David. I gave the Giant ancient armor and a massive shield. I have also drawn Cyril to provide a size comparison.

For the female Demons, I have kept their original form to look reptilian. They have scaly skin and reptile-like eyes and teeth. I was inspired by Medusa from Greek mythology.

For the Fallen female Demons, I have made them disembodied spirits. They now have the power to shapeshift and lose their previous reptilian appearance. They have the power of blood magic and can wield blood swords. I wanted them to look like an ancient demonic deities.

The female Angels and Seraphim are self-explanatory. I wanted them to be shown as holy, powerful and majestic. I hope they are able to be the embodiment of divine wrath.
