Not a bad pic. I like how you set the angle where the light reflects off the ice. the unique shape of it during the melting process as well as the look brought off by the water itself and the way the light causes the hollow openings does bring out a semi sci fi look to it that does closely resemble a slimy Extraterrestrial eggshell as portrayed in a number of alien movies. The area it sits on makes me think of the egg being opened in a forest and whatever life form that popped out of it (most likely a facehugger) quickly crawled through the brush leaving it sort of stretched across the ground.
Very nice pic overall. I believe it leaves enough to the imagination to make several different scenarios.
