I love the monotone. Blue is calm and relaxing. This photograph gives something to look at while admiring the minimalist expression of water. Marbles always seem to have a way with entertaining the eyes. When looking at this shot with no perception, it can be both a grand expression or a very small realization that whichever way you might be looking to there is beauty in everything. Each marble is different which prompts more investigation in to the radiating thoughts that this causes. It demands more and more time to react to what is occurring while revisions are being requested to ensure what you've seen is correct.

Marbles have always to me been a subject of equality and peacefulness. This was my favorite marble photo that I had shot up until I realized that another photo I had done was better overall.
Thank you for such an amazing critique yet again.

Thank you. This is the last image I took before starting my photography class in college (Which I am failing xD) but that's besides the point. I like this image and images before this one because it shows what I have improved on as I progress. Thank you a ton.
I actually liked this image in favor of another image I did just before this one, but the other one prints REALLY well in metallic and has since won me over xD

Thank you. This was originally a dud shot that I thought would look like crap. It turned out to be my absolute favorite shot out of the whole set. I went out today and took new shots with other colors of marbles for other elements in the future. Hopefully it works like this one does.

I know. I took this one as an out take shot originally, thinking it would be really bad. I saw what it did and it became my favorite shot. Thank you!

There's something special about appreciating the shear visual beauty of a scene like this, don't you think?. Like you, I am familiar with the rush of inspiration that comes from photography. It is nice to see, not just the fantastic visual art, but you have also shared the thrill of creating the final artwork. You have to hold on to these little gems, they keep us alive. They remind us that inspiration can hit you at any place and any time.
Thank you very much for sharing it.

Photography does give you a rush of inspiration. Looking back you cannot believe that you are the creator of these amazing works. If you aren't the creator in the instance of a nature scene, then you must simply remember in awe that you are the only one that was there to see the real thing. No one else has anything like it. Every shot has the potential to be completely unique from every other shot that will ever be taken because of this. No two pictures are ever the same.
Thank you for such an engaging comment dddontshoot . I love this post of yours.

Thank you. That means a lot. I love working with them, even though I don't get to work with Marbles very often because they do get repetitive.

Thank you!
I rarely work with marbles, but each time I have, I am absolutely amazed with the result. I am going to have to continue experimenting with marbles. I love them.

It was honestly pure luck. Next time the lighting is good, I will have to do this again. This one to me is the crowing jewel of my photography for today.

Awesome!

But was there, like, bulbs behind the marbles? Or was there light inside the marbles? What was it that caused them to look like that?

Kandroid96 In reply to JIMENOPOLIX [2014-01-25 03:13:14 +0000 UTC]
No bulbs or anything. It is all natural lighting before the edits. The original photo even had the glow. That's what inspired the further darkening of the backround. It's the sun reflecting off of a road through the marbles. The camera picks it up really well. Thank you.
