Some studies I started a few months back and fixed (except the castle one)Each one took about 5 hours?
I really want to do more scenic backgrounds in my work, so doing some studies like these will help meee. Even though I've done some before, I don't think they're very cohesive with the characters;
So I'm trying to find a suitable style of background work where animation characters would fit in naturally.

I think out of these 3, the forest one is probably the most fitting for use in animation! The first one seems more like a painting, and I see the second was a cool background for a video game~ but for cartoon/anime animation, I think the 3rd one would work the best!

They are all beautiful of course, but I understand what you mean! The first two indeed may not feel very "dynamic" for animation (perhaps too "paintingly" look? if this is even a word, haha). But I think you are going to the right direction in the forest one, it has more contrast, some more saturation and feels more alive, it felt very close to what you would see in Studio Ghibli's movies! I think if you try to make the colors just a bit more vivid, it will work perfectly. Nonetheless, it's all beautiful!
