Description
AP English doodles of a conceptual Dante inbetween DMC3 and DMC1. Its for a doujinshi I'm thinking of doodling up that takes place in the small gap between the two games where Devil May Cry is being rebuild after being destroyed, and Dante has no cash to buy a new coat...The turtleneck is because it's becoming winter (it's my thought that the Temen Ni Gru fiasco happened at the beginnings of fall) and even devils get chilly.

And then I realised it's on the back of your Heart of Darkness worksheet. God, I hate that novella. I'm reading it right now in my AP English class and I cannot understand it for the love of god. XD

And LOL yup, high schooool. I first read HoD in pre-AP English back in ninth grade, and I absolutely ABHORRED the book. It bizarrely grew on me by senior year of high school cause I had to read it again for AP English Lit, but I admit it's totally understandable that it's not everyone's cup of tea. I like the prose more than the content, personally. I like cracking it open at different places and just reading a paragraph and wondering what the hell Conrad was smoking to come up with such extensive bs, haha.
I liked the mood and atmosphere of the tale more than the tale itself, is what I'm getting at. If that makes any sense?? But yeah, anyway, I totally get hating on it cause wtf is even going on xD I recall reading a chapter that was all about RIVETS and RIVETS and i was like what the fuck is a rivet? Apparently it's a kind of screw....? idek

I already read HoD but my class is going over it. I really am not a fan of it, nor am I a fan of Conrad's writing. I guess it may be because I don't particularly enjoy his prose and writing style. Yeah, maybe because he's somehow able to pull all of that bs out of who knows where and somehow assimilate it properly into his text, haha. XD
Hm, I can understand what you mean by that, though. XD It does have a somewhat dark atmosphere that can be difficult to detect if one does not understand all of the allusions and whatnot made. XD Oh yes, that chapter. I remember that; it was really odd. I don't think that I'll ever understand Heart of Darkness unless I read it for a whole year. My teacher pulled out so many allusions and whatnot that my whole class was baffled. It's just...wow, how does that even work. And like, how can a novella of a little over one hundred pages hold so much detail? XD
And pardon my rambling about Heart of Darkness. I just leaped at it when I noticed the sheet that your drawings were on. XD

You might be able to keep from scanning the text in the back if you put other pieces of paper behind it. That way the light doesn't bleed through.

It's my AP English book :'D It's...really weird literature xD Basically about this guy telling some other guys a story of his travels to Africa during the age of imperialism, and how everything is senseless and insane and then he ends abruptly and I didn't really get it D:

Sounds like a stupid book(no offence if you liked it), so it was basicly about how stuff was senceless nad insane then the dude kicked the bucket?... sounds like this book my friend was reading and 30 pages where all about this wall and how it was purple and had holes in it...
And if i read the book your reading, i most likely wont get it, maybe if i read it 5 times maybe i would get it >_> hehe

My favorite is the top right one, the SD chibi Dante or something, but all of them look marvelous~!
I specially like his expression on the bigger one, since I like Dante with a serious, somewhat pissed off face. Makes him look cute. <3
Oh yes, and the hair also looks interesting since it's like a fusion between his hair during D.M.C.3 and D.M.C.~! >w<
