Description
Inspired by the Gas Mask resembling a Trubbish from the Pokémon Gaia ROM hack, I decided to try my hand at drawing protective masks based on Pokémon. The final versions have two inlet valves/inhalation ports (the side filters), one outlet valve/exhalation port (the front filter), a voice emitter (the small dotted circle placed either above or below the front filter), and a hydration port (the thing that looks like a curved straw beside the front filter). I didn’t realize until after I had finished most of the drawings that maybe that’s not where the hydration port goes, but since these are drawings based on fictional creatures and were made just for fun, it could be shrugged off with, “Well, maybe that’s what hydration ports look like in the world this is set in!”
This part has some Gen I Pokémon and some variants. I included Raichu because of the design and because it’s my all-time favorite Pokémon. I also included Gastly, Koffing, and Galarian Weezing because of their association with gas and Galarian Ponyta because of its Pastel Veil ability (which prevents it and its ally from being poisoned).
