"Do you remember Catey? Little purple-haired girl, always carried a doll?Absorbed in your Pokemon "training," you cast her away... Your own sister...
I was her only friend.
...But there was still you.
And you were the reason that she was out in the rain...
...On that day."
My entry for 's contest. The contest was to present our theory as to why Thorne(the Banette) wants revenge on Akuji(the human-turned-Gengar), and how this mysterious "Catey" girl was involved. If you haven't read the comic that this is about(Revenge of the Heart by ~PokreatiaForms ), I strongly recomend you do so.
My theory in a nutshell:
Catey has purple hair= relations to Akuji
Catey carries a doll= hints at lonliness= hints at cruel family= Akuji
I can't tell exactly what role Thorne would have played in Catey's life, so I made them best friends. It's possible that Thorne was even in love with her...
Thorne's reasons for revenge: I'm just making this up, but let's say Catey and Akuji had a fight one rainy evening, and it ended with Akuji throwing Catey out of the house. Catey was absentmindedly walking across a road, and through the rain some car(I can't draw cars lol) didn't see her, and Catey was hit and killed.
Do they even HAVE cars in the Pokemon world?
Anyway, I hope I win. The winner gets a sneak peak at Thorne's actual backstory!
