          "OK, let's consider the options of what happened," Inside her team base,  Olive tried to keep her voice steady. It was hard. This was the worst crisis Team Azul had ever faced, and that included the world ending. That could be stopped easily. This couldn't.
          "Option number one: The killer came to the base, still carrying the scarf, and Kay ran away," said Sky.
          "No, impossible. In the state Kay was in, she can't of run away."
          "Well, if she didn't run away from the killer, then mabye she was-"
          "No. That couldn't happen." Olive wasn't ready to consider the possibility of Kay's death yet. She couldn't bear to lose her best friend so soon after Kay had lost her brother. The very thought of it made her feel sick. "And besides, we would've found a body, or at least some blood."
          "All right, then," said Sky, backing off a little. "What if the killer dropped the scarf, then some team member found it and brought it to the base?"
          "Wouldn't all that blood be enough to alarm them? Plus, that still doesn't explain what happened to Kay."
          "So we don't know anything about Kay's possible wherabouts," Sky paused, as if his next words may be upsetting. "...Mabye we should turn our full attention to discovering who the killer is."
          "WHAT?!" cried Olive. "No! We have to send out a search party to look for her!" She couldn't believe it. How could Sky be so insensitive? Her, abandon her best friend?
          Before Sky could retort, Zoe burst through the door in her usual fashion: hyperactive. "I've got Thor, Vulcan, Aphrodite, and Poseidon watching all the Friend Areas," she reported.
          "Good." The three legendary birds and the guardian of the sea would keep watch over the team, and were all defenitely strong enough to fend off a killer. "I've got another job for you, Zoe."
          "What, Olive?"
          "Rally a search party to look for Kay. Take Despair, Buzzy, and mabye a couple of other pokemon."
          "Right!" Zoe sped off.
          As she watched the little zigzagoon scamper toward the Friend Areas, a sudden thought crossed Olive's mind. They SHOULD focus on catching the killer a little more. And who had tried to dismantle Team Azul and kill Olive before?...
          She raced out the door.
         "Olive! Where are you going?" Sky called after her retreating hindquarters.
         "To the Team Meanies base! I've got to ask them a few questions!"

         The Meanies' base was ceremoniously shaped to resemble Gengar's head, as Azul's base was shaped like Olive's. Though she didn't think that the Rescue Team of Evil, as they called themselves, would've directly murdered her teamates, they might play some part in it. If anything, questioning Gengar might give her a few leads.
         But when Olive arrived at the base, she was too shocked for words.
         The door had been torn off it's hinges, like someone had pulled it apart by force, and there was a mournful wailing coming from the inside...
         Olive cautiously stepped through the doorway and was horrified at what she saw.
          Blood spattered the walls of the room, and loose items had been thrown into random spots across the floor. A water jug had tipped over and it's contents were slowly oozing about the wreckadge. Worst of all, Ekans was lying amid the chaos, his throat torn out and bleeding from several spots on his body.
         Olive felt as though she might be sick. She had always nourished a hatred for Team Meanies, but she never wanted this.
         The eevee turned away from the terrible scene and instead caught sight of the source of the wailing.
         Medicham was huddled in the corner, curled up in a fetal position and crying her eyes out. She was shaking uncontrollably, but apeared unharmed. "W-what happened here?" Olive managed.
         Medicham looked up, apparently just realizing Olive's presence. She didn't try to hide her grief, as Olive would have thought. "Oh, it was terrible! That pokemon just ripped opened the door and came at me!" She began to sob again. "B-but Ekans, he... he shielded me! He took the first blow! And he-he told me to hide... He fought like a legendary! But he c-couldn't... It was too much..."
         Medicham wailed out loud and grabbed ahold of Olive for support. Olive's heart broke for her old rival. Perhaps she hadn't been able to see anything but treachery and lies from Team Meanies before, but now it was clear that Ekans and Medicham had really cared for eachother.
         Then there was a cry, a vengeful cry of "KWAAAAAAH!" It shook the very landscape, a cry that could be heard for miles around.
         Olive started. The call was recodnizable as the battle cry of a legendary bird. And it sounded like Thor's voice...
         "I have to go," Olive said, and gently let Medicham's arms fall back to the floor. Thor had spotted the killer! She raced out of the base and back on the path to her own team. But as she ran, the cries continued. They became louder, and more desperate, until they were unmistakable as death cries...
         "NO!" Olive screamed, and threw herself toward the source of the screeches.
         As she turned a corner, Olive came upon the most horrible sight yet.
         Thor the zapdos was lying on the ground, his massive body oozing blood. One wing had been almost completely severed. And standing beside the dead legendary, fresh blood on her paws, was-
         "No, it can't be. It can't be true!" Olive began to sob harder than she ever had in her life, and felt her paws carrying her in the opposite direction.

         Zoe and her search party were scaling Mt. Freeze when Olive found them. The eevee was still sobbing, and running at such a speed that the tears flew behind her like miniature crystals.
         "Olive, what's wrong? What's happening?" cried Zoe.
         Olive struggled to pull herself together, gasping between sobs. Finally, she managed to whisper...
         "I found Kay..."
