The two join forces for a battle with the boob lady- err I mean Quelaag! LEADING TO A FIRST FOR THIS COMIC!!! I didn't die! mwahahahhaa...
Stupid side note, this wasn't actually my first time not dying on the first attempt on a boss, the first was the Capra Demon - but I wasn't working on this comic at the time, so we'll cover that in my NG+ comic! mwahahahhaa...

Quelaag is HIGHLY resistant to pyro man you'd need like sorcerer's catilyst +10 or plenty of gold pin resin.

The comic is just for laughs - it doesn't go over my playthrough exactly.
[Mainly because I had beaten Quelaag over a year before I had gotten to that part in the comic, and forgot she was resistant to fire. Heh.]
And I did take her down with sorcery. ^w^;;

Nice one (The taking down Quelaag with sorcery part) and it's no problem just making an observation like how no one knows who Priscilla's mother is (Probably Gwynevere) but that besides the point lol

XD!! favorite comic i've seen so far! this is one of my favorite fights too, simply because it's one you can actually do solo on your first try. sure, it's a challenge, but it's doable.

But on my 2nd playthrough [on PC] she proved to be a little more difficult...

Man I love how you draw this stuff! i love how you make the helm you have on your face in the comics in a way! it is great! i love that smile you have on as you throw that fire balls! love Mildred! she is so boss! going after a boss with almost no armor on! that is just pro right there!

I opted [for vanity's sake] to not draw her as "undead" for the comic.
But whenever I'm wearing Domhnall's helmet, assume that's when I'm undead. hehehehe.

I beat the game earlier in the year... just been busy with other things so I haven't been able to get the comic up-to-date. ^w^;;

That is great. I am still playing it. I can't stop thinking about the game lol. Right now i am playing Demon's Souls because teh online serer is going to be shut down at the end of this month, so I got to make this time good and do a lot of PvP and Jolly Cooperation ^^

Mildred was super useful to me!! We did it on the first try as well!
She tanked Quelaag all by herself while I jumped in here and there to pick off her remaining HP with my trusty halberd! I love her so much, and you for drawing this!

Second try for me. I summoned another player to help out during the rematch, so things went a lot easier. If only Sif was as easy. TT_TT

lolz I love your comics, they're awesome! But what i find funny is that my Mildred is useless. Every time she shows up she charges at Qualagg, and goes right through the FRICKEN LAVA! she dies halfway through the fight, and I'm just face palming at her stupidity. lolz. But your comic is great and I hope to see more stuff from ya!

I do find that odd, I am hearing a lot of mixed things w/ Mildred. Here's what I think:
she digs wimmen folk.
Unless you do have a female character, then my observations are moot. Ha ha haa ha!

Summon a chick in a bikini and a potato sack on her head- See her tanking like a boss BI

I think I killed Quelaag on my 4th try. She insta-killed me the first time. lol
I went through most of Blighttown as a Hollow so I didn't know about Mildred. I could have probably beaten Quelaag on my first try, too, if I was careful enough.
There's something about this comic strip that I like more than the others (in terms of the art), but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Thank you~ I can attest to that there is a higher level of rendering [using a different art program, they take longer but it looks better...], and as they were getting popular I was more serious about getting them done with a higher quality of art [this was illustrated back in January, the newer strips are much better looking, heh.] So yes, this strip does look much different from the rest, hehe.

I explored all of Blighttown before I fought her. There was a bunch of stuff there and I couldn't get the pyromancer to show! ugh! I am eager to see your comic on Quelaan.

Nice... I love the idea that mildred is a kind of "big is beautiful" character. I forgot about the npc summons on this fight so I died a few times on my first play, the explodey bubble things wrecked me.

Awesome! Quelaag was pretty easy but the easiest boss for me was Pinwheel. Killed him with 3 great fireballs
