HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS.Ahem...
So you know how I usually put the hours it took me for a piece? Can't do that this time. Lost track some time after seventy, so I shall convert it into another measurement; this baby is three solid months of my time and I cannot be happier that is finally done. My hand is still cramping.
So why take all this time? Well, this is a piece for xxShannondorf for her birthday...last month. >.> I AM SO LATE AND I AM SO SORRY. THIS STUPID PICTURE TOOK ALL MEH TIME AND IT TOOK FOREVERZ.
But......HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. *throws confetti* If you don't know Shann, she is super awesome and funny and nice and you should follow her on tumblr cause she is just that amazing.
You know you want to. Anyways, I am out of words, but seriously...you have been a really great friend these past two years we have known eachother and you deserve every hour of my time and effort that went into this piece. I even kept it in it's redonculous original size for you. :3
So, for those of you who don't know...
This is a picture of Rayne, Shannon's Naruto OC and Hikari, my OC. For the longest time we have both talked about putting them in the same picture together. Last year Shannon beat me to the punch for Christmas.
And I totally wanted to do it too so this is my piece a freaking year later. -_- Yeah, go me. Procrastination FTW.
So for the image, which sadly I didn't execute as greatly as I wanted to (freaking water. freaking hair. freaking ASDFGHJKL.). Hikari and Rayne are both mixed up with Sasuke and he is a meanie and he sucks and he is a constant negativity in both of their lives. So I wanted to put them in a kind of metaphor, if that makes sense. The purple water is supposed to be Sasuke's influence and they are both sinking. Hikari is more affected by it, so she is kind of starting to really drown, but Rayne refuses to let her go without a fight. So I was trying to capture both their personalities: Rayne who always does what she knows to be right regardless of how it has to be done and Hikari who is so close to giving in that she is teetering on the edge of life and death but hanging on by a thread because she hopes for some kind of happy ending.
Even though they have never met, I think they would be great friends and I am sure Rayne would try to help her. So, I wanted to draw them together because they have a lot of similarities, despite how differently I described them above.
Anyways, happy birthday Shann and early merry christmas? Lol. I plan to do something ranch related for the snowy holiday. >.>

Hmm I get that too, when I picture something but it doesn't quite come out, but I think all in all the end result here was amazing none the less, ya know? You should be super proud!! It's got so much detail, and you can tell you put a lot of effort and hard work into it. That, to me, is the most important part I think of a gift/comm. Is that you tried, you know?

DUDE HOW BIG IS THIS PICTURE IN ITS FULL SIZE HORY SHET.
This is absolutely amazing, and it shows how far you've come. The detail in everything is so precise, and the water droplets on the arms, and the water covering parts of their clothing.. Dude. You should be proud of this. Also, the way the Kumo symbol is carved into the headband!! Hikari's wet sleeves sticking to her arms is amazing. So is her hair. So are Rayne's necklaces. THIS IS ALL AROUND AMAZING. I feel like I couldn't ever make something to compare to this for you. This is absolutely breath taking and I'm so proud that you made this ;u;

I was like, you know what...I am not even going to shrink this down. It shall be in it's full glory.
I just wish the water came out to more of what I imagined in my head, but because I did something silly in my layering of Hikari, Rayne, and the Water, I really couldn't. Also, colouring hair black is super hard. >.< I really like the clothes and water drops. It took me hours just to do that and I really think it makes the piece.
I am so happy you like this because I really wanted to give you something awesome for your birthday. Just too bad I was a month late.
