Dying for more tutorials like this. Can't seem to find anything even close with google or DA. I don't know exactly what to look for, I guess. It's this awesome sci-fi, mechanical, fantasy style that you seem to have down so well. I just wish I knew how to do the basics, ya know? Great tutorial. Would gladly pay for more, depending on prices. There's just nothing out there!

Be warned people, this tutorial costs money. -.- This isn't a resource, its a sales pitch. Perhaps not proper for the for the resource section.
However, as much as I despise pay for tutorials... interface is one area I would be willing to compromise because there are 0 tutorials on the web. (one of my cruddy orb tutorials is one of the most viewed under "interface" tutorials... that shows you how desperate few there are). So, don't stop by any means. i'd be nice to have atleast 1 option for learning. Perhaps if you make a few more i'll have to take alook at a few of them.

Hmmm I have been watchin Karsten now for close on 6 years, 5 under this account. Often the subject has come up about tutorials and now I am glad they are here. I cannot blame Karsten 1 bit for trying to make some money out of his talents, I wouldnt blame anyone for charging for tutorials of this calibre or from artists with this amount of knowledge.
BBT if you did the same I would gladly pay you the $5 or $6 AUD for each tutorial, that Anton is asking
Anton: well done mate and glad to see you finally managed time to do this. I will definitley grab this once I get back home next Tuesday. It will be worth the money your asking and I look forward to many more from you.

Yeah I have to find some way to finance the time the tutorials take to make (For this one it was about 5hours, from planning recording, edit and exporting) Of course the goal is to find a way to produce the tutorials so I can offer them as affordable as possible.
This is an experiment to see if there is any interest in this kind of video tutorials and if it is I might be able to produce more of them.
Thanks man

Lol just kidin' more like $6... looks like a good tutorial although Im not shovelin' out money just to learn how to make a wire, even though that is a nice wire...

Sometimes the techniques are worth the purchase. You dont want everyone knowing all the tricks do you? The better info always costs money

your speaking about something you don't even know , Karsten a good mate of mine for some time now, told me one day he would release a tutorial, NOW that he has done so, he is charging for it, hence we his friends are a bit shocked
I hope that makes it clearer for you.

well I cant say I blame him for charging. as inconvenient as it seems. Knowledge is power and both have monetary value

lol I hear you.Honestly If I was an awesome themer and had mad insane skills I would charge for the tuts too. With only 6 months in cs3 I have a ways to go.

I personally wouldn't pay to learn for a wire...mostly because I could make this in my sleep. But seriously maybe if it was something like a friggin awesome menu or something and techniques on creating spikes, and maybe give us some styles, brushes, patterns, actions etc that you use...then maybe be worth something. But Knowledge is free...its out there all you have to do is look and get creative experience.
