[ “Natural” flirt ] He has the tendency to make “Flirt” sounding responses but is actually oblivious to stuff like love between lovers.

[ Affectionate / Devoted ] He likes attention (but not being in the center of it all). So he would often give people hugs or be pretty intimate/friendly -to some extent-. It makes him feel less lonely which he easily feels. It is this exact trait that makes him pretty “fearless” in terms of greeting just about anyone.

[ Moody ] He can jump between moods, going from happy to sad in a minute. Asriel is a mild yet fairly expressive person.

[ Curious / Intellectual / Inspirational ] The traits that make Asriel a “people person”. He enjoys learning about people, what they do, and the things they like to do. He also likes to learn about how things work and could sit through a lecture pretty well.

[ Selfish / Scatterbrained ] Asriel has bad habits as well as good. There are times that he can get pretty self-absorbed when he gets moody and can be pretty bad at ‘sensing’ other people’s feelings; which is another reason why he is oblivious to love.

Asriel’s main inspiration in life was to become a chef; in which he gotten this from his father. Growing up, most of his memories were made up of his fragile and sickly mother being in bed, coughing. But like a true hero, his father, who was a chef running his own restaurant, would always come in to take care of her. He would watch his father always feeding his mother soup and curiously ask after he was done, “Would that cure mother?”

His father would always respond to him, “Of course! Nothing is better than a soup filled with love because it’ll warm up your mom’s fragile heart.” In time, this came to be. His mother’s health improved more and more. The colors to her cheeks came back and so did the life in her eyes.

But the family was poor. Even though his father had run a restaurant, they didn’t have enough money to support themselves much anymore. His father, to take care of his mother, neglected his own health which took a turn for the worse. Without a healthy chef and money to keep the store opened, it closed. Asriel’s father soon passed away. And with this, Asriel aspired to be a chef just like his father. Just as he felt he had lost all hope in attaining his dreams, his eyes spotted a strange flyer among all the clutter of mail.

- Asriel can mess up with his wording which often leads to his words sounding more… romantic or, as you could say, doesn’t really fit the situation and make the subject seem more than it really is..

- Asriel gets bedheads and has to fix his hair for work or it hangs in front of his face, covering one side.

- His looks are from his father’s side, not mother’s.
