Great tutorial! Curious if you've tried using a finer lead pencil (0.3 mm) for your thin lines and use your 0.5 (or even a 0.7) for the thicker?

Ive never used .3 but I use .9 usually if Im doing studies.  Ive tried bouncing back between .5 and .9 a few times but it didnt feel right. I usually just stick with same pencil throughout the drawing. Turning the pencil I felt is much quicker than picking up another one
Thank you!

Wow  this is an awesome  process.  It's nice  artists  working on  paper  on DA, and showing the progress of the  work  step by step.

nice tutorial! any plans to invest in a cintiq tablet? that way you can draw directly in digital.
having to stop and scan drawings was the reason i went all digital XD

If I ever have enough funds! Iam actually interested in the Cintiq Companion.
I actually didnt draw much in my sketchbook for 2 years. I only used it when I wasnt home. The previous Mei Ning sketches, Armor Jylz, and lined commissions are all digital using an Intuos.
Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to create and share this.  I'm a 100% digital artist, but I can still appreciate traditional art.  It's nice seeing your step-by-step creation process.

RIP scanner.  You will be missed.
