Dunno why I thought it was a good idea to upload this so big... LOOK AT ALL THOSE UNFINISHED AREAS !!! Making things smaller makes your stuff look better
Still not sure how I want to design the layout of these process images. Thought vertical was a good idea... now it just seems kind of confusing to me . Was going to conform them all to the same layout but then was like... sometimes their poses don't make that work ! So... went with this...
Tried using the pen tool for line work for this piece. The kewl thing is that the pen tool for Clip Studio Paint lets you draw lines that are vectored and you can push the lines around later at any time if you need instead of redrawing them... bad thing is I still don't like how much life it takes out of the drawing when you do it. Though after you paint it, it is not as big of a deal, I'll still probably just stick to my airbrush tool for now
Hope it helps a little!

Hi Nayatrei! Are you asking want rendering is? or specifically how I do it?
If looking for the meaning in illustrations it's really just going beyond the flats and really detailing out lighting shadows details and highlights. In 3D it's the same but generated by the computer.

The render stage was my personal favorite, although I can appreciate the highlight stage too
haha, yes! sometimes you can get more with less but it all looks good, so I'm happy either way xD
