Description
Had the opportunity of being a character designer and part animation director on this awesome project! There will be several short animations for Sturgill Simpson`s upcoming album and I got a chance to work on two of them for D'ART SHTAJIO. You can check out the trailer here> www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvT0rz…Related content

looks really good. Did you do all the animation? or more of a team member working on specifics?

The company I work at worked on two of the many animated shorts. I did mostly the character design for those two, and had a smaller part doing animation supervision. Key frames and inbetween animation were done by many various ppl.

The characters look pretty cool, is there a story behind it? Oh and I especially liked the muscular chicks, with the helmets they look like Valkyries.

Yes, each short has its own story but some of them are connected to each other.

I'm a comic book lover, specifically anime and manga. Initially I thought of a comic book course but I wondered if it was as complete as one of animation.
The courses are varied and interesting, such as: concept art and character design for video games, animation, comics.
But which one to choose? Which course gives the most solid base so that you can then range in other fields with practice? Is it better to start with a traditional or digital course?
Do you know DigiPen?

This is the first Ive heard of Digipen. Had to look it up and it seems like a grade up from the school I went to.
But I dont think a person should rely on school. Yes, it can be a good base, but an individual still has to learn on his/her own to some degree.
Honestly I think its better to start with traditional. But I would think that their digital arts an animation course would start you with traditional in the first few semesters/quarters. I was in Game Art and Design at Art Institute and many classes of the first few quarters were traditional.
