Kid couldn't wait to try out some fire manipulation. It was the ability he was most excited to try, second to conjuring fire. Since he already had some candles that his dad had lend him, he decided to attempt to manipulate a small flame. To be safe that he wouldn't start a fire in the house, he went out into the woods nearby and went into a cave. After he ignited a tiny flame on the candle, he proceeded to his attempts to swish around the flame.
It took several minutes, but afterwards, making the flame move at his will became easier and easier.
