Description
This is another piece for my concentration, theme: baby animals, and they're baby chickens. Got a photo like this at the FL State Fair, the hard part was making up for the mess on the glass that made the photo hard to see, maybe I'll submit it to scraps or photobucket so you can see what I mean. Love the original, but I still don't like the scan, but it's as good as I'm gonna get.
I did some little edits to the scan like upping the saturation and shadows and stuff in an attempt to make it the slightest bit better, but I'm still not happy with it.
Done with colored pencils and watercolor pencils (but I didn't blend any with water because it looked smooth enough on the real pic, but the same cannot be said for here).

sarah, dat's effin' awesome, but i'm sure it's greater irl ;o; I lav all the colors in the chicks, and the blues in the....sack by them....lol sack by them -shot- I really like their expression and how they look so FLUFFEH. I don't think it looks bad at all <3 It looks PURTYFUL YES. TAKE DA WORDS OF ADVICE FROM THE REMY but yeah i really love the smoothness of the background too and how smooth the flow of the shading and colors in general are c:

Thanks again :'3 I already have another pic done (bunnies), my teacher has it now, and I'm starting on a tortoise. Then I need one more. And TONS of other work by Friday, and ... all psychology stuff by tomorrow, which includes 2 tests I have to take during lunch, directly after I have a stats test that I will fail ;^;

I'll post bunnies tomorrow when I get it back, I really need to at least finish the tortoise picture by tomorrow though, sadly I don't think it's possible to make it one more picture by tomorrow ;o; Way too much work, when I got home... I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep, which was the exact OPPOSITE of what I wanted to do ;A; I have AP Lit to catch up in, another pic to do, AND make a cheat sheet thing we're allowed to use on an in class essay test in AP Psych tomorrow... And now... I'm about out of time ;^; I really don't think I can get half of it done, I'm too beat x.x
I went to the doctor today about my ear, it's not an ear infection, but they say there is some swelling and fluid back there, and it still HURTS. And also they drew blood today because they said on the last blood test for thyroid one thing was fine, but the other was abnormal, so they're testing it again. I kinda hope there is a plausible explanation for me feeling all like this lately, and it can also get treated as well, idk x.x I want to go back to sleep ;3;

I have that Psych test tomorrow, and then finishing up the stats test tomorrow o.e We also have to do a FREAKING HUGE ESSAY on Hamlet in AP Lit, I think he said it's due Monday or something ;A; It's not an essay like a few paragraphs and done, but PAGES upon PAGES. Like a college essay

D'awww! Awesome down texturing! It's as it I can pet them..but the damn screen is in teh way XD
And as for scanners..I haven't come across a traditional artist yet who hasn't conplained in some form about how much they hate their scanner, at least once.
Scanners are, and will always be the bane of traditional artist's lives Dx [unless they dramtically improve]

Yeah, but mine has been scanning pretty good recently, and I couldn't complain much with the scans (though nothing is as good as the originals obviously, but it was still good enough to bear with), but this time... it just refused to get a good scan no matter how many times I tried :c
Yus, they should make a super (inexpensive lolyeahright) scanner that makes scans look like originals o:

I think a scanner like that would be possible, but considering how a scanner actually WORKS...the image will always be slightly faded. Well, it's using light anyhoo. Im sure there'll be developments...IF, that is, they stop updating iPhones, DS's and laptop faster than I can ..update them :S

I'm more materialistic when it comes to art supplies than video game (except the one's I already have), and I'm not big on buying every new game platform that comes out either, even if I did get them, I'd barely have time to play them, so it's not really a big deal

Dang D: Get Prismas then, I think the 120 pack is around $150, but if you get lucky you can get it for a lot cheaper, I got mine for about $60, one of the happiest moments of my life xD

Going into an art store for me is like a candy factory 
I wouldn't mind Prismas..My college has some Karismas that they only let the post-16 students use XD and I like them..ish. But I'm not usre the waxiness of them agrees with me :/ I prefer the oil-based Polychromos..even though they are expensive

I think if I stick to ebay I'll find something at least quite a lot below RRP XD

The only problem with the pencil sets on ebay is..well, they start off cheap for such large sets..but then you see the time counter for how long it's on for. And from bidding experience...the price can just skyrocket in liek 30 mins sometimes... o.o

Aww XD I would have a puppy..but both my siblings are terrified of dogs. I blame the so-called 'Fluffy' [aka Cerebus] from the first HP movie. They took one look at its snarling, drooling faces and from then on avoiding any dog by a 30mile radius

My family are animal lovers, except my dad that's getting tired of all the animals, but it's not like he hates them, and he likes dogs, just not cats so much anymore lol Except for his precious Miss Kitty
And I don't know why they would be scared of dogs after just seeing that xD It's sad you can't have one just because of that, I personally think getting a dog would cure their fear after they realize how great they are <3
