For my concentration of baby animals in my portfolio, went in the quality section as well.This was a baby gopher tortoise we found (not kept of course), right here it's coming out of a little burrow I dug out for it, since they love to dig <3 I zoomed in to draw it here though because our 1) Time limit and it had too much other stuff in the bg and 2) It looked better x3

Nice colored pencil work ! I have only just started to mess with those. I usually work in watercolor which for me is faster.

Thank you so much! I used watercolors/watercolor pencils as a base in this, and then used colored pencils for detailing. I find that way works best for me so that the watercolor fills it in, but you can get better detail with the colored pencils. c:

I admire the patience you have. Using colored pencils takes too much patience for me. I got about half way through a crocodile drawing and put it all away.

Hehe, I can imagine how a crocodile would be difficult with colored pencils, so many scales. D: But it may be worth it in the end to finish too.

Hey, I happened upon your gallery and saw this rendering of a turtle. Very well done! I'm pretty familiar with turtle anatomy (I sculpt them) and you have it dead on. Great job!
