Sheet 1: [link]Here's the 2nd sheet of my other adoptable creatures I made around the same time I made the Spring Hares (which many are still open if you're still interested, they are now available for points as well)
A long time ago, like when I was still in elementary school or middle school, I made a sketch of something similar to these I dubbed 'mudpuppy' after I learned of the wonderful existence (and nickname) of axolotls, which I decided to bring back and create adoptables of them. Most of my inspiration came from them, but with these I made them a bit more like a mix between an axolotl, fish, and otter.
A little about Mudpuppies: As their name implies, they love the mud, and spend most of their time in or near fresh bodies of water. They can be a bit slow on land, but they are natural born swimmers and can out-swim many predator species. They can be both extremely social, living in family groups, or be loners; depending on their personality. They highly prefer fresh water to salt water, and almost never go to the ocean. Their favorite habitats are rivers, creeks, lakes, or swamps, with plenty of muddy banks to lay on and shady trees to keep them cool. They can breathe both air, having lungs, and water. Their gills are the ear-like structures on the side on their heads. Their ears are actually behind the gills, but are small like an otter's and hardly noticeable. Their favorite food is fish, but also eat aquatic plants or fruit.

I really like these designs, so I hope they will all get good homes!

1) No character hoarders (meaning those who adopt almost everything they see and never draw them again, if at all)
2) You may add accessories or slightly alter the design if you wish, but nothing too extreme please. The design should still be recognizable.
3) No re-selling or obviously claiming the design as your own. If you no longer wish to keep the character for any reason, let me know, and I will place it back up for adoption.
4) You can try out for more than 1, but can only win one, unless no one tries out for either, or the other person(s) wants to let you have it.

ok.. so to own one of them i need to do some art of it ? does it have to be by hand or can it be digital ... im actually quite rubbish at good art so it might be crapart as i like to call my style!

ok .. now i did mention i did crapart right! ... haha.. i gave it a go.. the result nearly got erased mid way coz seriously ugly .. but by the time i was done it made me laugh ..

I go by the correctness of the design and effort more than the tryout art for adoptables like these. c: It doesn't look bad, except there's a few things missing in the design, like the fins on the back and the end of the tail-fin, it is not just one big fin like an axolotl. The designs are inspired by axolotls, but they are also inspired by fish, dogs and otters (the face is more otter-like, except they have smaller noses). They also have some water-proof fur like otters.
The species name is "Mudpuppy" as I said in the description, not 'Axalien'.
(Also I saw in the description you said you might make adoptables of them, which I ask you to please not do. While I would be fine with someone making a custom character for themselves, I don't want another person making adoptables of them, especially without permission first and if for any kind of profit. D: )

i called it alalien coz i thought it looked like an axol x alien .. mine i mean . . not yours.
and by adoptables i did mean from the lines i drew .. not of your character as it were.

I'm a bit confused... even if you make adoptables from your lines, you drew it to be one of my species, which would still be you making adoptables of my species, even if not using my lineart?

Added you. And I prefer they not have wings, since they're not really suited for the sky, they usually reside in water/mud and near bodies of water as I put in their little species info. <:
If you really feel that the character must have wings, they might could have some kind of wing accessory or contraption, but they just can't have wings permanently attached to their bodies.

I was thinking of wings kind like [link] the frill. They would be used for gliding from mud-pond to mud-pond when water is beginning to reach a low level.
If you don't think so, how about something like [link] ? The wings are not attached to his body, and can also be used when gliding from mud-pond to mud-pond when water is drying up.
And since you mentioned in the description that they eat fruit, I imagine they climb up trees to get to it, and they use the wings as parachutes when coming back down (that's what I imagine XD )

The frills on them are their gills, so they couldn't be webbed like the first link.
The 2nd option is more likely.
How about this, I made some quick concepts (so excuse the sloppiness, they're just a couple second doodles xD) here: [link] I think I may make Mudpuppy gliders a new branch of the species, if you would rather have something like that? I can't decide which of the two concepts I like better though.

Sorry for comment stalking, but can I try for #1 and use this fin/wing concept, please? ewe I could use a character like this in my story, seeing that there's a lot of water there... And 90% of the characters need to stay as far away as possible from it huahahhaah
He'd be some kind of spy, hiding in muddy water and gathering information muahahahah

They look very cool, almost Pterodactyl like, yet they look similar to those gliders from Transformers 3 (remember that part when the military are gliding around the abandoned city if you saw it?).
Well I couldn't find exactly the type of wing I was trying to show you for the first one, but here's something similar-ish: [link] , minus the claws on its wings. They would also be used as fins underwater, when they're feeling energetic and want to swim around at fast speeds.

They're supposed to be like fins, which can almost work like wings, similar to a flying fish. And I haven't seen transformers, sorry
I suppose wings similar to those would be ok, as long as they're connected at the shoulders or arms, like how I drew the other ones in the concept pictures.
