How long have you been here? Most likely ever since the accident the radiation levels in some areas are at a fine level. but there sure has to be some 'hot places' on the core of the buildings, perhaps. I do think to myself to visit one day. Experimenting the Chernobyl Diaries last night, gave me goosebumps but then again I do wish to visit one day.

I live in Russia, and I advise you friend, never take a trip there. It could damage your health greatly. Why do you think no one lives there? Nuclear Poisoning.

Tю...

im pretty sure this isn't the actual chernobyl town though...my friend works as a microbiologist and just had to take samples from the area, and he sent me pictures, one of them was this wheel...it's in a public square with a building in the background and the bench is much further away...
besides, how would you even get there without a full body antiradiation suit, much less get the clearance for this?
i think im coming off mean..i dont mean to sound like that. just don't think this is real, as an art peice though, its awesome actually.

Actually it IS.
Its really easy to get into the Chernobyl area. You just need to book a tour.
Why should i wear a full body antiradiaiton suit? Its not that dangerous

i don't know...i'm actually ukrainian, and we've been taught since birth that that's how it is...i mean..i guess it does make sense if youre there for a short amount of time, but my friend, he sent me some pretty disturbing pictures and stuff, like on animal and genetic disfigurations. and my first cousin was born right after the explosion, she was pretty much not let out of the house until she was about 4.. i agree that..it's probably not as dangerous now as back then, but there would be people living there now wouldn't there? besides the few who do or didn't leave initially, taking up residense in the town is illegal.
besides all that, if you have time write me about your experience please do so, im really very curious, and i don't want to come off like a bitch with all the contradictions, i just really find the topic interesting. hell if anything i'd like to go myself, everyones been telling me thats pretty much impossible. where do you go to the tour and stuff, i visit ukraine at least once a year, so it would be simple for me if i have the right information

The radiation levels have really drooped since the accident. But you should still keep an eye on the radiation meter. Some parts are more radioactive than other places.

Yeah you're right, i don't think they'd let you frolic in the danger zones i suppose...I'm going to visit Ukraine this summer, honestly, if you can buy a tour i definitely need to look into it, even so, that kind of thing is worth the risk...ultimate badassery
