I think he's being protective of Sally and is pissed at Archie, even if they are the only one's besides the fans keeping SatAM alive.

Too bad I think we fans of a true set pairing for Sonic will be "waiting for" ( [link] ) a long time, because despite the fact that Sally would like to "thank [Sonic] for being [himself]" ( [link] ), other writers-- like Ken Penders and Karl Bollers--want the Son/Sal ship (the ONLY long-lasting one Sonic's ever had) to be snuffed out.

Yeah, the Sega style is such a pain in the arse, so I kind of picked up hints from it and then just went my own way. To me there's never been any point in copying canon style in terms of fanart. I mean it's cool sometimes but you can only go so far with it.
