Okay, so here's a mini Japanese lesson for you.It's the first lesson I teach to any beginners who show up in the Japanese chat wanting to learn.
Lately the chat has been dead. Dead dead. >.> Maybe I should make my own? ... right anyway... so with all the new Japanese I'm learning... all it is is building up in my brain meats with no where to go and no one to teach. o_O So finally in a fit of "Gah! My head's gunna explode!" I drew this.
For those just starting with Japanese. There's romaji there for you (I honestly recommend learning Hirigana and Katakana as soon as you can! Or the Romaji monster will come and eat your internet cables!) For those of you who already know Hirigana and Katakana, practice you're reading and understanding. And for those of you learning Kanji... T-T I'm sorry! I hope you learned something anyway.
XD Sorry for the poor drawings. Especially the dog.

Not necessarily. It's more used to say where something is. I actually don't use "imasu" or "arimasu" unless I'm talking about where something is at. So... say a dog randomly pops out of nowhere "O.O Nani sore?!" (what's that?!) "... aa... inu desu." (Oh... it's a dog.) n.n no imasu needed.
