Yo it's been 10 years since Long Shadows was released! I haven't been apart of the fandom that long, but my first AMV was an Ashfur one, and I redrew/re imagined a frame from it! I made it almost 6 years ago- man does the time fly by! Fun fact though- because I entered the fandom after this book and the scene was already a popular one to animate when I started reading the books, I watched a few AMVs before I got to this part. My theory of what was happening was Squirrelflight telling Ashfur that he was her kits father not Brambleclaw and by killing them he'd be killing his kits. So he doesn't but still gets super angry before being killed by Hollyleaf. Definitely not what happened but it would be a fun AU!

It just goes to show that if you keep working at something long enough you will improve! That AMV has not aged well but I will never take it down because it's a reminder of where I started.

YOU'VE IMPROVED SO MUCH dang PLUS this version right here is WONDERFUL -- especially the fire in the back is so dynamic together with those particles and sparkles in the front, the shading on Ashfur is spot on, together with those purple tones in the shading again like you usually do, it goes so well with the yellow in the back and it's overall an amazing result to look at!

My favorite improvement is remembering to draw noses on cat profiles because dang I forgot noses a lot when I first started out lol
I wasn't going to make it fire at first in this and instead go for more of a red glow like the original, but then again I'm sure this was what I was hoping the original looked like when first making it. I'm glad it paid off

*GASP* ACTUALLY -- WOW I'm mindblown by what you said about these noses -- you're so right?! I never thought about them myself, and now that I look at your drawing it's so awesome you mentioned it! Heck that's perfect now I'll HAVE to keep this in mind for my next drawing session, thank you! 
The fire really paid off there's no denying that!
