...Fakir wrote an awesome story to make everyone's dreams come true! Because he should!
It's so amazing. I am so hooked. Srsly. Words cannot convey how much hand flailing I did when I got into the last episodes of this show.
When I was first looking for pose ideas/reference, my first thought was Swan Lake. I spent about 20 minutes before I decided that they would be better suited to something from Romeo and Juliet, as per the the penultimate episode, and settled on this one almost immediately. Sorry this all makes no sense if you haven't ever heard of, much less seen, the anime Princess Tutu. If I were to try and give you a synopsis, it would sound weird as hell, but it's just plain wonderful in reality. If you need to be convinced that it's amazing and you should watch it:

I love this. Such a pretty pose and adorable context... I like how he just looks.. happy to see her again, you can see it in his face and how he is cradling her head. And she's still just affectionate Duck with that embrace.. Great job

I tried to make it sorta... half slanted closed, rather than her usual O_O wide eyes to give her a more serious expression, along with having her slightly tilting her head... It doesn't quite match her actual eye shape as a result. =/

I think the slanting might have been the cause of the eye weirdness. XD Maybe instead try closing the eye a bit.

The pose is lovely and so poignant...this will always be a firm "what-if" in the fandom's collective mind and you've captured it wonderfully. The BG in itself is very pretty!

My friends have been begging me to play the FF games my whole life, so I finally got my hands on FFXIII ... And it's lovely. I haven't finished it yet, but it's lovely. I need to get around to the others now, because from what I hear, it's all amazing.
I'm a fan of Zelda, too! And Avatar, Princess Tutu, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, (friends have told me to read Dragonriders of Pern; I got a friend to read me a chapter once), Yuu Yuu Hakusho, Gundam Wing (and G-Gundam, which fewer people have heard of), Dragonball, Sailor Moon, and every Disney movie! I've got a couple others, like X-Men, Batman, /other random comics, and random movie fandoms here and there ... but my biggest ones are Avatar, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Princess Tutu ... definitely. I think about those most of the time. Haha. But like you, I latch onto all sorts of things ... I have a very fangirly personality ...

Yeah, I think everyone, at least everyone I've seen so far on dA, wants a happy ending for these two. I'm so glad you like the posing! I find dancing poses to be particularly challenging (ironic since I danced from 3-16yo) even with references. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be working on my dancing drawing skills a lot now though.

That video is just so epic. It's actiony enough that it could appeal to a broader crowd that might scoff at the idea of PT when they head a broad overview or synopsis. Plus, the song is just AWESOME.

I'm so glad you like it!! I wish I remembered where I got the pretty brush I used for the background. 
Their story is so beautiful and so heartbreaking! I was perpetually on the verge of tears watching the last 4-5 episodes. Nanae Katou and Takahiro Sakurai just have so much emotion in their acting. The little girl in me that grew up on Disney desperately wanted them to have a happy ending where Fakir could use his powers to give her back the gift of ballet (and kisses!

I couldn't agree more. They have been my absolute OTP for well over five full years now and still going strong. I've done so much fanwork for them that I lost count a long time ago. XD And while the ending was fitting and bittersweet, I'm definitely one of those who can't resist imagining how things would go afterward and hoping he would turn her back into a girl. He totally could have kissed her during the Underwater Dance, but he DIDN'T. ...I realize that would have complicated a truckload of things, but I was still hoping. XD;
OH GOD LOL. You linked me to my own YouTube page. XDDD That's hilarious. I'm honored that you liked them, though! I uploaded some of the HQ ones to the PT LJ (Livejournal) community in the past, 'cause YouTube kept killing audio or taking them down. Haha, I still wonder why Rose in Bloom turned out as well as it seemed to. It was one of two videos in my collection that I planned out while I didn't have video-making software or anything. I just listened to music and pieced the scenes together in my head. Rose in Bloom is a direct result of my flight back from Seattle that year, listening to Kiss From a Rose on repeat on the plane. XD But yeah, I adore that song. X3
