It was a pleasure for me. I'm really learning a lot of photography doing Critiques and watching proffesional shots. Besides, I think that this is a masterwork, and because of this I invested time on writing it's critique. I love it and, for sure, I tried to be fair. I'm very glad that you liked it Katerina. He's a beautiful model, and I also love his features. they make the image, I think. the cornrows and the glasses make him look restrained, but the fact he's showing his upper body and he has quite a large tattoo on his arm also give him a sort of "not to be messed with" vibe. it's almost like he's conflicted slightly.
compared to the other commenters, I'm afraid I'm not quite as poetic, but I agree with them all, that this is one of the best portraits I have seen in ages. I'm glad you got a DD, I love to check out photographers.... they inspire me.

the cornrows with the glasses does give alot of character and that pose does give alot of emotion, lots of energy in such a still photo
