Description Here is a batik I made. Batiks have a long making process so I was relieved when I finished.

Enjoy!

I can see how you could have thought that! Well, a batik is made by taking some type of linen, drawing what you want on it (with pencil), then putting wax on the areas you don't want to be painted. Once the wax has dried, you paint the areas you want with ink. Then to remove the wax, you melt it off using an iron, and voila'! You've got the ink where you want it to be. You do this process over and over with different colors (in different areas of course) until you are done. The spidery lines on the leaf were created by cracking the wax when it had dried. Hope that helps! And thanks, I'm glad you like it!
