Since I'm back at uni and have got very little time to actually photograph anything new, here's another old one that was sitting around on my computer. The lighting was very odd in the original so I desaturated the background and changed the eye colour as it was looking rather brown - my eyes are blue. Anyhow, I was playing around with the colours and came across this combination which really reminded me of an opal. So there you go! Another mindless stereotypical shot!!Related content

Quite stunning. Dont usualy go in for eye photography becuase it is overly done, but this is excellent, the blue just leaps out at you.

The macro eye may be overdone, but when done well, an eye is like a sunset, always unique, thus always beautiful!
And the colours you have contrived for the pupil are absolutely gorgeous!

Well, I like the focus thing you got going on here. You got nice eyes--I say 'eyes' cos I imagine the other one is pretty much the same.. The colours are fab!

Well, stereotypical wins the race every time. This has gotten a lot of love, I see. And not for being "cliche". It's a truly lovely shot by a truly lovely person. I don't know about 'another' but I do think it's stereotypical and cliche.
It's also extremely popular.
I can happily say that this is probably the best shot I have seen of this style, so I think this is well deserved and congratulations.
As for the shot itself, I think it's well done and I like the colors (your strongest point).
