Description
Dont you love it when you creat something with one meaning.. then when you look at it further it means something so different you wondered why you didnt think of it before. This was origionaly meant as someone looking back on a loved one.. asking to think before you act, it affects more people than you think. But the second my friend looked at it everything became clear... all he said was its like a Memory.... something that has happened in the past, hard times happen and you can overcome them and things do get better. Show your scars, be proud of your past because that shapes the person you are today.
Edit: Im a little bit unsure that you can see the rope properly in the Polaroid picture.. I will try and get the sorted out soon.

These mannequins looked dead and yet alive at the same time. Great job!

Awesome concept photo...it does seem to take on multiple meanings.

interesting piece, and i love how you've modeled it using an actual art... 'tool' rather than just a human..i that makes sense - and also how it's never going to have been alive anyway.
as i said.. interesting, and very nicely lit.. keep it up

I like the concept. The stark Polaroid works as a metaphor for memory, I think, because of the immediacy of the format.
The rope is a bit subtle, but the pose of the doll in the Polaroid is good enough without it.

Would be a very good pic after you can see the rope.

Most artists that do stuff like this probably feel like that from time to time... I really wouldn't know though XP

Interesting photograph. I like the concept and lighting, though I think the photo he holds is a bit too dark as the rope that you mentioned isn't that visible unless you know it is there. Anyway, good job and good luck in the contest

Nice work, I really like the concept and the puppets on a very bare background really helps to communicate the idea. You can't really see the rope in the polaroid but it doesn't matter since the posture is definately of someone who was hanged, so the rope is not so important

This is quite a sad picture really. I like how "you" have no face, neitehr does the picture. Are you telling me you are nobody? And that maybe you wish you were the figure in the picture?
That is my interpretation of this picture. I think it makes me want to know you to find out just ho apt this picture is.
Technically its very good. Nice depth of field and the tones and colours are great. The posture of the mannakin is torn between sorrow and lightheartedness.

wow that is a very different interpretation to what I would have expected, and one I have never really thought about before.

It could be my depression talking. That or the pills. Maybe its my pessimistic nature. But this does not strike me as totally happy. THere is an air of the playful here but it is overshadowed by the need to...well kill yourself.
I know what this mannakin feels.

Yer I dont really suppose its supposed to be a happy image. lol
But how oftern can we all say we are totally happy?
I was hoping that the hanging dummy while being in the center of the image, wouldnt be the total focus of the image, rather the same dummy holding the photo, meaning that in a sort of sadistic way its being possitive, shit happens but it gets better.

It can, but not everybody can make it beter. THe focus for me lies in the mannikins head which you them follow down to the photo.
