I'm going to get out there for Burning Man one year, it's got to be some experience. Of course, I've been going to Mardis Gras for thirty years and haven't made it yet.

This is the first year tickets sold out before opening day, which means 50K people will be there. Not looking forward to the 6-hour traffic jam after the 10-hour drive from Vegas. It's almost worth taking an alternate route that adds 100 or so miles. It's #6 this year, skipped a few since it was held in '87 on a San Francisco beach (much cooler and no dust).

Sorry about the dry spell, that's very unusual for Texas and not very easy on the pine forests and grasslands. Nevada has gone through about 11 years of brief-to-none for summer monsoons. Thank you for your compliment

You're welcome. I did read about the fires in Texas since there is almost no coverage on the national news except about the Congressional bickering. Nevada has been home for a few years and getting out to explore is a way of life. Next time I see rain, I'll try to send it your way.
