I love the softness of the picture... The texture looks so smooth and soft, unlike when I try drawing... When I draw, it always comes out rough looking

Quick question, and it may be stupid, but do you use color pencils and watercolor or are they another type of medium? I'm trying to get into using color more frequently in my work and I'm just looking for any recommendations for materials or tips that I can get.
