Interesting, my [Kal'eon/Koldraxic] Rings are somewhat a mix of Shield and Ring worlds, they have a [laser wave mode that kills ONLY flood] as an adaption of [Forerunner's tech] as a [resort function to someday replace all Original Halo rings].

Thank you. Out of all of them, the one I enjoy playing for my players the most is Woeful Matrix. I get to play childlike exuberance.... and then surprise everyone by explaining how to kill an Elite with a single strike to the third vertebrae of the neck.... followed by shocked silence.

think of how different the first halo game would have gone had they got installation 01.

Yeah, Master Chief would have had an ally, and the Covenant would have had a big problem.

plus no flood and no worry of a super weapon. Plus, observer would probably have taken out the covenant around the ring and allowed humanity access to it and the forerunner archives. Humanity would them probably learn about the ark on Earth, used it, and now armed with the forerunner technology would have proceeded to hand the covenant their collective asses. There still would have been the little problem of the grave mind.

Too true. But with access to Forerunner tech, and a Monitor who knew how to use it, I think there would have been a huge battle, rescuing Penitent Tangent in the process, and the complete annihilation of the Flood.

Maybe, but even the forerunners couldn't take out the flood. Master chief was only able to because of sheer dumb luck.

This is the situations we deal with in our Halo RPG... and the damn Flood is still a thorn in our side.. friggen Space Zombies...

well maybe he could be the monitor of the forerunner homeworld and he is immensely regretful and angry of what happened to all the forunner he saw die so now he is all alone, on a planet covered with ancient bones, he is currently rampant and will usually be good natured but attack if you mention anything from the past.

do you have any possible names picked out or are you trying to think of them?

Because he's been exposed to Precursor Tech, and a possible Precursor AI system, my RPG group has been tossing ideas back and forth for this particular Monitor to have two names.. the first his original name, and the second his new name from his new Precursor personality.
