I have this Blaziken which had this incredibly high Sp attack, speed and attack stats. It was able to take out foes far above it's level but then it learnt double kick. I LITERALLY RENAMED THIS BLAZIKEN TWO KICK MAN BECAUSE ALL I HAD TO DO WAS KICK THE F___ERS AND I WOULD WIN. I would go into a battle saying: "Well, time to spam Double kick".Β
(Obviously double kick didn't work all the time but you get the idea)

It is funny that you used Platinum in your first two examples when there were only a whopping three fire types in the entire regional dex until post game. The fire elite four there had a Drifblim for gods sake.

I hated the "fire" Elite four guy in Platinum. When the Hell did Lopunny and Drifblim become fire types? Never. Exactly. You fail as a fire type user. Friggin' poser.... His hair was dumb too.

You guys are both wrong. That was only in Diamond and Pearl. Platinum, on the other hand, expanded the regional Dex to include more Fire types.

You're absolutely right they had... five. And one was still Ponyta. Infernape, Rapidash, Magmortar (kick ass but I digress), Flareon and Houndoom are still not a whole lot to pick from. If you picked Turtwig or Piplup you only had four fire types you could catch/get.

i got a pokemon heart gold that was used and a file was on it witch had aΒ Cyndaquil namedΒ Burt and i played it a bit and fell in love with burt.

I remember way back when I first played Gold and would beat the champ just because my Ho-Oh would burn his last Pokemon
I also remember my Feraligatr who would get burned literally 90% of the time it was hit by a fire attack. Way to go as a water Pokemon

This is why Gyms need more type coverage, especially the later ones. Oh, you brought a Ground type to sweep my Electric Gym? Galvantula and Eelektross say no! Hell, even Viola has Surskit to say "Sorry, Fennekin; gonna have to work for it!"
